Summary

 

US Postal Center is seeking individuals to work as Customer Service Representatives to fill Full-Time positions at our Newark locations. This work involves contact with customers of different languages who are shipping packages. A Customer Service Representative consistently delivers a positive customer experience to all customers, utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions. The team member is knowledgeable in all areas of the store's business, including Print, Shipping, Fax, etc. Computer work is required, including package tracking, package processing, and daily records accounting. The Customer Service Representative will also operate and maintain a wide variety of equipment, move boxes and equipment, stock materials, manage retail supply, and complete assigned tasks based on priority.

Responsibilities

​

•Communicate with customers via phone, email and chat

•Provide customer expertise in printing, packing, and shipping

•Provide knowledgeable answers to questions about product, pricing and availability

•Data entry in various platforms

•Processing financial transactions using a Point-of-Sale terminal (POS), including handling cash and making change

•Cleaning, repairing, and stocking of all retail store equipment

•Completes required financial paperwork and may assist with financial reporting including daily sales, and closings

•Performs multiple tasks at the same time

•All other duties as needed or required

 

Qualifications

•6+ months of relevant experience

•High School Diploma or equivalent education

•Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills

•Must be fluent in English and proficient in either Spanish or Portuguese

•Ability to move and lift 55 pounds

•Ability, on a consistent basis, to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure

•Computer Skills Required, such as adequate knowledge of the Microsoft Suite
